We love this seat!
We bought this seat to use as a secondary seat because we already had a Britax Marathon. Well, I wish we had just gotten two of these seats! It is easier to install, sits lower, the no-rethread harness is fantastic, and our daughter (20 months) seems much more comfortable in these seat.
Bad item
This car seat has been nothing but trouble for us. It's one of the hardest seats to install in vehicle. The harness release button when it's rear facing is almost impossible to unlatch. Very poor design. Would return but past return date. DON'T BUY!!!!!
Great Car Seat!!
I ordered this car seat when my daughter was 13 months old, and outgrew her infant carrier. I LOVE this car seat! It's wonderfully easy to strap her in, and I really like that I can loosen and tighten the straps from the front of the seat base. It was incredibly easy to install. In fact, I actually called the manufacturer to make sure I did it correctly because it seemed too easy. The material is soft, and so far easy to clean. I have not removed the pad to put in the washing machine yet, so I dont' know how it will handle it. Like some other reviewers have noted, the crotch strap does seem a little on the small side, but at this point, my daughter fits fine (31 inches, 22 pounds). I think that loosening the shoulder straps should help this some. Also, we live in Florida, so I bought one with a lighter color seat and it doesn't get hot like her infant seat would. I installed it forward facing and have never used it rear facing, so I can't review the car seat for that use. However, I liked it so much I bought a second one for my husbands car. I purchased both through Amazon and my only complaint was that the price is dependent on the color. Prices at the time I purchased ranged from $145 to $350. I had a hard time finding it in a store though, so I went ahead and purchased a different color than I really wanted. Safety was my prime motivation, followed by ease of use and cleaning.
Nice Car Seat!
Originally this was not the car seat I thought I was getting because the picture looked different from what came in the package and I was going to send it back BUT I decided to try it and actually glad I did. It's a great car seat - roomie, easy to adjust, tight fitting and my son seems to like it. Love the attachable cup holder and you can easily adjust all teh straps without having to move alot of fabric or parts..etc...Worth the price.
Short crotch strap
The crotch strap on this is too short if you expect your child to stay in it up to 65 pounds. My son is about 42 pounds and the crotch strap just barely fit him. I returned it.
