Strong, but not indestructible
This is much firmer than the other toys I've tried. As long as treats are inside, he just went for those, but once my dog (an 8-month old boxer puppy) finished off the treats inside, he ripped through it pretty easily. I had to get it away from him pretty quick so I could still use it for treats. In short, it's a good product, but not indestructible. The KONG Wobbler on the other hand, he hasn't even put a dent in yet, and I haven't taken it away from him once.
a really good toy!
This is a great toy for an extreme chewer! Make sure you don't skimp on the size though, it's important that it's not too small for them.
Kong extreme Dog toy
My dog Jack has lost many toy balls as it rolls down the hill. This toy is great and remains in the yard! besides he spends hours trying to get to his stuffed treats.
The favoite toy, to a fault.
This version of the Kong is my medium sized (60 lbs?) Belgian Malinois' favorite. He has a red one as well but for some reason has no interest in it unless I hide this black one, and even then only casually plays with it. It's durable and has stood up perfectly well to his insistent chewing over the past 3 months or so. I imagine each dog reacts differently of course, but mine loves this thing so much that as soon as the sun comes up he's on it, and he often wakes me up by allowing it to plop onto the bed near my head so I'll throw it for a round of "fetch". If I want more than 6 hours sleep I have to put this thing on top of the fridge. Conclusion? He really likes this thing.
indestructible
I bought this similar kong about 5 yrs ago for my lab (who is now 10 yrs old) and its the only toy that he has not been able to destroy or chew parts off. I bought this product again for a friends young lab because they could not find toys that were durable enough for a chewer such as a lab. They have told me that their lab loves the kong and he chews on it daily but the toy is still 100% in tact. Buy this toy for your power chewer. For a full grown dog, buy the xtra large size. This large size seems to be good for a younger or smaller dog cause its not really that big.
